The best Israeli restaurant I have eaten in the bay area.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant really gives you the feel you are in a restaurant in Israel. Israeli music, decoration of the west wall and you hear Hebrew around you. :) The Falafel has the taste of the Falafel in Israel. Shawarma is good. The couscous is great.
Definitely will revisit this place.

WOW! Finally a good place for Mediterranean food - Israeli style.
Great variety of dishes - vegetarian options as well. Came with a friend for lunch and we had Babaganush, Hummus with Mushrooms and Vegetable couscous. Hummus - was to die for, so good, just like in Israel and Babaganush so yummi - perfect seasoning. We were so full with all the pita bread and spreads we didn't have much room for couscoos dish. Great and friendly service as well.

Been meaning to stop by restaurant for some Glatt food.
I asked for their shuwarma; their version is turkey. The obviously fresh pita comes packed with turkey, fresh chopped veggies in a light creamy sauce. And you get a side of thick cut french fries looking all golden brown. Everything was tasty and I think I'll eat here once a week =) My new fav Glatt kosher restaurant.
Customer service: fine, friendly and polite
Decor: clean
Music : ok
Bathrooms: very clean.

I came there with 4 other people. For 3 of us it was the first time !
I ordered the vegetable couscous with the chicken and it was very good! Just like in Israel! However, if the chicken portion was a bit smaller that would have been more convenient. Also the chicken had a slight pink color which was a bit weird but it was still pretty good.
My friend ordered the shwarama - and it was delicious!! So authentic! And another friend order the shishlik which was very authentic as well! So good!! The only thing - the orders took quite awhile to come and we were starving.
We ordered the appetizers and the pitas were a bit cold (plus they give the white pitas - it would be nice if they had both regular AND whole wheat)  The hummus was very good too!  Is it home made?
I would be returning to Jerusalem grill & bar very soon to try some other meals and return the Israeli food back into my life!
One more thing - great place to meet Israeli families

Great to have another kosher restaurant in the area.
I was here for the first time with a large group from work, mostly non-kosher eaters, for lunch.
The food was very nice and very large portions. I heard my co-workers say only good things about the food. The pita was fresh it was the best hummus I have had outside of Israel. I had the shwarma plate and was very happy with it.
Service was great, clean and simple atmosphere but perfectly acceptable to bring co-workers to. I will be going there again.

All the Israeli's I know are currently in love with this place. The hummus is legit (creamy and smooth) and the pita is the real stuff (soft thick bread, not cardboard crap). I believe this is also one of the only kosher restaurants around (the one in SF has bad reviews) so you may see your local rabbi here (we actually did run into my buddy's rabbi!). Service was great, though our food took a while to come out. I'm looking forward to another big bowl of hummus... this ain't no trader joe's schlock!

Very reasonable prices for a strictly kosher place. Big portions. Friendly service (both to-stay and to-go). No cutting corners: clean place, new tables & chairs, professional kitchen equipment. Easy to get to from 280 or 17.

This is the best Israeli food that I have had outside of Israel. From the delicious Schwarma to the Salad Sampler Platter everything was so delicious.
The friendly staff Mor and Nahara makes this place feel like home. I like how the background music is not too loud and it makes it easy for a conversation.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Israeli Food.  On Saturday nights around 8PM they have Karoke.
I did see the beer and wine menu and it looks quite extensive. While the prices can be high for the food and drinks its worth every cent.
I shall be recommending this place to my friends and family.  Anyone who  has visited Israel will know how good the food is and the Jerusalem Grill exceeded my expectations.
